In the event of a capsize, right your boat, hold both oar handles together to keep boat stable, and climb back in one at a time. If you are unable to get back in your boat or row back in, stay with your boat until help arrives. Put your life vest on and get out of the water as much as possible. Signal for help by waving arms to nearby boaters or people on shore.

Completion of Advanced Rowing or 60 hrs of scull rowing, with at least 30 of those hours on the bay. |
Passed written, and practical rowing tests. Successful capsize drill in bay. |
½ mile from shore, between Pleasure Point and Seal Rock, stay at least 200 feet from shore and wharf |
Note: Instructor approval is required for all levels.
