Intermediate Rowing Class

The Intermediate Rowing class is a co-ed, hands on six week course that meets two times a week. This class is taught using 2-person and 1-person rowing shells, with a majority of the classes being taught out of the harbor in the Monterey Bay. It is designed to cover more intermediate rowing techniques and the skills needed for safe open-water rowing. This class is for students wishing to improve basic skills with an emphasis on conditioning - interval and endurance.

Enroll online, or show up at the first class meeting at the entrance to the East Field House on Campus (not at the harbor). Pre-enrolled students must be at the first class meeting in order to retain their spot. Students have priority over the public during Fall, Winter and Spring, however non-students who hold a current OPERS wellness card may enroll in classes that are not full at the first meeting on campus. Winter quarter is the best bet for non-students during the academic year as enrollments are usually lower.

Prerequisite: Basic Rowing. Intermediate-level swimming ability.

Instructors: Gabe Kilburn.

Class Fee: $50
