Advanced Dinghy Sailng Class

This Course is only taught in the Spring!

The Advanced Dinghy sailing course is a co-ed, hands-on course taught in six Coronado 15' boats with a limit of 12 students. Good attendance is strongly advised in order to achieve the best results. The course begins with a review of the rigging, sailing techniques, and boating UCSC Basicand Intermediate sailing classes.

DinghyClass03_08

Enroll online, or show up at the first class meeting at the entrance to the East Field House on Campus (not at the harbor). Pre-enrolled students must be at the first class meeting in order to retain their spot. Students have priority over the public during Fall, Winter and Spring, however non-students who hold a current OPERS wellness card may enroll in classes that are not full at the first meeting on campus. Winter quarter is the best bet for non-students during the academic year as enrollments are usually lower.

Prerequisite: Intermediate Dinghy. Swimming ability is required.

Instructor: Rusty Kingon.

Class Fee: $45.00
