Team & Free Agent Registration
NOTE: If you are UNDER THE AGE OF 18 please download the IM Sports participation waiver for Minors, print it off and have your parent or guardian sign, scan and email it to IM Coordinator, Linda Clauss at email@example.com Signed waviers may also be faxed back to 813-459-4070. Non-Minors please submit your waivers online when prompted through the IM Leagues system.
Team registration is a TWO STEP process that includes submitting your team payment and then creating your team roster. Please follow the instructions below.
As a Team Captain, you must first pay the team fee to reserve your team's spot in the league (STEP 1). You will then add your team to the league you are interested in via the IM Leagues where you will build your team's roster and invite members to join your team (STEP 2). The following are steps and guides to help you navigate this process. Remember you must first designate a Team Captain to submit payment for your team via Active Net. Team captain's may only sign up one team per sport division (example: One "A," "B," or Coed team per sport).
Step 2 - Create your team profile in IM Leagues. Make sure you add your team to the league that your team payment relates to. Do NOT do this if you have not submitted your team's payment.
A. Once your team is set up in IM Leagues you may begin to invite your team members to add to their names to your roster. Members will have to create a profile in IM Leagues too so please guide them through that process and direct them to the website. Team members will also be asked to complete an electronic/online waiver for each sport upon adding themselves to the team's roster.
B. A general Captain's Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 8 at 7pm in the East Field House Gym. You or a representative of your team must be present in order to participate in the season. If you do not attend/do not have a member present your team will be dropped to accommodate a team on the wait list who did have representation at the meeting.
C. League schedules will be created and posted on the UCSC IM Leagues webpage by or on the Thursday following the Captain's Meeting.
D. Play typically begins that Friday/weekend unless told otherwise. All teams should be prepared to play the first week of the season in the time block they registered for until told otherwise.
Free Agent/Individual registration is a TWO STEP process that includes creating your IM Leagues account and then following the instructions below to add your name to the Free Agent list.
If you wish to participate in Intramural Sports and have not identified a team to play on, we encourage you to do one or more of the following to sign up as a Free Agent.
A. Visit the UCSC IM Leagues website, become a member and create your profile. Navigate through the sports you are interested in participating in and follow the links and steps to add yourself to the electronic/online Free Agent list for that sport. Team Captains will access this information and list to fill their roster by inviting you to join their team. You can also scroll through leagues to see what teams are looking for Free Agents (indicated by a blue "wanted" icon next to the team name) and contact their captains directly. Additional help on how to become a member of IM Leagues is available online.
B. Free Agents are also advised to show up at game time to see if a team needs an extra player. Reference the schedules online at IM Leagues to determine which leagues/time slots interest you. This is usually the best option to join a team. Be mindful that rosters lock after the first three weeks of the season and at that time no additions/revisions to rosters can be made.
C. If you do not have a team after the first two weeks of the season please contact the IM Office and we will work to try to get you on a team.
