Registration for Spring 2015 League Sports and Tournaments will open on Monday, March 30, at 9 a.m. and conclude Wednesday, April 8 at 7pm.
Please take note of the following addtional programmatic changes and enhancements for this spring. We will be piloting IM Badminton, Disc Golf, and Outdoor Court Soccer. Additional enhacements will include Tennis Doubles and a Weightlifting Competition. See IM Leagues for full details.
Individual Participant Fee/All Access Pass: In an effort to create a more sustainable, vibrant, and comprehensive Intramural Sports program, UCSC Intramurals has implemented an individual quarterly participant fee structure this coming year, thereby eliminating team entry fees. Once a participant pays the individual quarterly participant fee ($15), they are eligible to participate in as many different UCSC Intramural sports and tournaments as they wish for the quarter, similar to an all access pass!! More info on the All Access Pass.
Registration process: Register your teams/yourself on IM Leagues FIRST and then submit your quarterly all access pass fee through Active Net. This method is more streamlined and keeps the process closer to ‘real time’ for captains and participants to see what leagues still have space in them. DO NOT pay and then attempt to add yourself to a team/league.
Play on and Go Slugs!
UCSC Intramural Sports History and Mission
The Office of Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports at UC Santa Cruz provides students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Santa Cruz community the opportunity to become actively involved in an organized sports and recreation program. Services provided by OPERS include Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Athletics, Recreation, Drop-In Recreation and Physical Education classes.
The Intramural Sports (IM) program is the oldest tradition on campus beginning in 1966. IM Sports are competitive and recreational activities designed to encourage participation by all members in a wide variety of sports and are played on campus. The program prides itself on its inclusive nature which is reflected in its motto of “Friendship through Competition.”
Intramurals are structured for different skill levels and are conducted in a safe, supervised environment. You do not need to be an experienced athlete to participate! Intramural Sports are open to all UC Santa Cruz students currently enrolled, faculty, staff, and alumni or community members with current wellness cards. Intramural Sports are a fun way to play, meet friends, learn new sports, test your physical ability, and relieve the stress of daily routine. Most activities allow you to select the days and times you play, as well as the people on your team.
We are a program dedicated to offering you a more rewarding collegiate experience. Many jobs and volunteer positions exist within the program which provides quality training in sports officiating and supervision, office management, and computer programming.
The Intramural Sports program is truly your program and welcomes your suggestions and comments regarding activities, facilities, and personnel. A determined effort is made to provide services which are responsive to your recreational interests.
